Verse / Tomaž Šalamun Prize

There are presently no open calls for submissions.

Founded in 2015, the Tomaž Šalamun Prize is a chapbook contest that includes publication by Factory Hollow Press, a $1000 prize, and a one-month residency in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The winning chapbook also will be translated into Slovenian and published in Slovenia. A second chapbook will be chosen for publication by Factory Hollow as an editor's choice selection. The deadline is March 15 each year. Heather Christle will judge the 2026 Tomaž Šalamun Prize.

(Verse magazine ceased publication in 2018, but Verse still administers the Tomaž Šalamun Prize. We are not affiliated with the Verse playlist site.)
